On May 30, the University Jean Piaget of Cape Verde held the Ceremony of External Merit Jubilar Distinctions – UniPiaget 25 Years, under the theme “Recognizing partnerships, valuing contributions and protecting the future.”
The initiative aimed to honor individuals, institutions, and external partners who, over the years, have made significant contributions to the development, affirmation, and impact of UniPiaget.
The Secretary of State for the Digital Economy, Pedro Lopes, guest of honor at the ceremony, highlighted the importance of higher education in training qualified professionals and in the development of the country. On this occasion, he also received a Jubilar Merit Distinction.
The distinctions awarded symbolized institutional recognition for the trajectory, dedication, and collaboration of the honorees throughout the 25 years of the institution.
During the ceremony, the university paid tribute to a personality whose trajectory is closely linked to the construction of the institution’s academic excellence: Engineer António Augusto Gonçalves.
The moment was marked by public recognition of the honorees’ contributions to the growth and consolidation of UniPiaget over its 25 years of existence.
