On May 6, the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde held a Magna Meeting featuring messages from the leaders of the Piaget Universe, as part of the celebrations of the institution’s 25th anniversary.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the Piaget Universe is present in several Portuguese-speaking countries, namely Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Brazil, and Cape Verde. The occasion provided an opportunity to hear messages and testimonies from representatives of the different institutes and universities that are part of this academic network.
Throughout the programme, UniPiaget’s research groups were also presented. These included the Tropical Diseases Research Group GIDT-Piaget, presented by Professor Dr. Lara Gomez; the Interuniversity Center for Interdisciplinary Studies on Migration, Gender and Sustainable Development, presented by Professor Dr. Gertrudes de Oliveira; and the Accessibility and Inclusion Center, presented by Professor Gilvan Victor.
The programme also included a round table on “Research, Innovation and Sustainable Development in Cape Verde”, reinforcing the work that the university has been developing in these areas.
The meeting also featured initiatives that strengthen UniPiaget’s commitment to research and the sharing of academic knowledge.
