She highlighted the participation of specialists from countries such as Spain, France and Italy, who discussed current migration issues with special emphasis on the experience of Cape Verde.
Gertrudes Oliveira emphasized the role of multiple actors in migration governance, including international organizations such as the United Nations, the International Organization for Migration and the Economic Community of West African States.
During the two days, researchers and experts reflected on the challenges of human mobility, analyzing public policies, integration mechanisms, socioeconomic impacts and historical approaches. The colloquium reinforced the importance of shared governance among States, civil society and international organizations.
